Shannon grew up artistic, always drawing or painting. When he was introduced to graphic design and advertising, he discovered how his creative side could make a difference, and provide an income. One of the first things he did for ADsmith, before being hired, was help with a focus group. He was impressed with ADsmith’s drive to get the marketing right, not just the advertising. Being armed with the knowledge of how the target market wants to consume a message, and what they find most important, can help sharpen the creative into something not just attractive, but effective. Shannon has worked in advertising for decades, helping clients ranging from small owner-operator restaurants to regional chains and multinational corporations. He has a passion for working with nonprofits and local clients, and he’s won local and national awards because he’s awesome like that.
