This week, Tim, from ADsmith’s Digital Department, conveys the importance of online reviews.

In order to get customers to leave a review, there are two important steps to consider. First—delight customers. Second—build a strategy.


“Consumers are using online reviews to make purchasing decisions – from which new restaurant to try to where to take a car for an oil change.

I’m Tim with ADsmith’s digital team and, in this week’s Marketing Minute, we will be discussing online reviews.

In Search Engine Optimization, we often see a correlation between user behavior and how Google search algorithms work. Simply put, users are more likely to want to see businesses with good reviews, so Google is more likely to show a business with more good reviews higher in search results.

So how do you get your customers to leave reviews?

There are two main steps any business can take get more reviews.

First – delight customers.

If you have a great product or service, that is truly better than your competition, customers will take notice and be more likely to leave reviews. Any marketing strategy will be more effective when you’re providing the best product or service you possibly can.
