Granting Access to a Facebook Page

Definitions:

Profile: An account for a person. Typically, your personal Facebook account. Profiles are how you access a page.

Page: The business page that multiple profiles have access to. This is where the business’s posts are shared into the page’s feed.

Desktop Instructions:

Through Facebook:

  1.  Login to your Facebook profile.
  2. Click your profile photo in the top right-hand corner. Select “See all profiles” and choose the Page’s profile.
  3. Once switched into the Page’s profile, navigate to the Page under “Home” on the left-hand side.
  4. Under “Manage Page” in the left-hand sidebar, select “Professional dashboard”. 
  5. From here, click “Page access”.
  6. Under “People with Facebook access”, click “Add New”. Type in either “Sally Smith” or “erin@adsmith.biz”. Select the Profile with the ADsmith logo as the profile picture.
  7. Add Sally Smith as a Page Admin. To most effectively manage the page, schedule content, and run ads, we need Admin level access.

Through Meta Business Suite:

  1. Go to Meta Business Suite – business.facebook.com.
  2. Click settings in bottom left.
  3. Make sure the business profile listed at the top is your company. If it isn’t, switch to it from the left hand column.
  4. Click People under Users.
  5. Add Sally Smith as an admin (erin@adsmith.biz or https://www.facebook.com/adsmithsgf/) Select the profile with the ADsmith logo as the profile picture.
  6. Turn all toggles on, even click to expand “View advanced options” and toggle these on as well to grant full admin account access.
