Assistant Account Executive

We’re Looking for a Strategic Communicator — and a Master of Details

ADsmith is looking for a motivated, detail-driven Account Service Support professional to join our team of marketers, creatives, and strategists. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where organization, communication, and follow-through are key to success.

As a member of our Account Service team, you’ll be the critical connector between our account leaders, and creative teams, ensuring projects move seamlessly from concept to completion. You’ll help keep communication clear, timelines on track, and deliverables aligned with strategy.

If you’re someone who loves seeing a well-run process come together, and you get satisfaction from helping a team work smarter, not harder, this might be the perfect fit.

A Little About Us

We’re ADsmith, a team of strategists, creatives, media specialists, researchers, and award-winning storytellers who believe in Intentional Marketing. That means everything we do is grounded in smart strategy and data, but with an eye toward human connection and real-world results.

We work with regional brands, national manufacturers and franchises, and passionate local businesses across a wide range of industries. Some are exciting and high-profile; others are quieter but equally essential. We treat them all with the same level of creativity, curiosity, and care.

What You’ll Do

Project Coordination

  • Serve as the communication hub between Account Leads and creative, digital, and media teams.
  • Manage internal workflows, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects move efficiently through the system.
  • Track progress and proactively alert the team when projects stray outside of parameters or deadlines.

Client & Team Support

  • Support Account Leads in day-to-day communication and project organization.
  • Keep everyone informed on project status, next steps, and deliverables.
  • Maintain thorough documentation throughout the life of each project.
  • Deliver meaningful insights through research — uncovering trends, competitor activity, and fresh marketing perspectives that inform strategy.

Process Management

  • Ensure all work follows established agency workflows and quality standards.
  • Help forecast upcoming workloads and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with various leads on team bandwidth and scheduling needs.

Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with creative, media, digital, and leadership teams.
  • Build relationships across departments to strengthen communication and efficiency.
  • Be a positive, dependable force in helping teams deliver great work on time.

What Sets You Apart

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented — you live for lists, calendars, and follow-through.
  • A strong communicator who can clearly share information and manage expectations.
  • You’re an active social media user who understands platform fundamentals, audience behavior, and emerging trends — and you’re eager to help shape and support content that connects.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A proactive problem-solver who anticipates needs before they arise.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using project management platforms (Basecamp or similar).
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • 1–2 years of experience in project management, marketing, or a related field (agency experience a plus).

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • A supportive team that values both creativity and structure.
  • A company culture that emphasizes balance, collaboration, and growth.
  • A flexible, hybrid workplace. WFH opportunity dependent on growth within position and ability to contribute from home.
  • Colleagues who support (& sometimes challenge) you
  • Leadership that values curiosity, accountability, and innovation.
  • Clients in a variety of sizes & industries, varying degrees of flashiness, who are grateful, interesting, and loyal

Required Skillsets

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Comfort with project management tools (such as Basecamp or similar platforms)
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and technologies
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and client service dynamics (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, project management, or another business-related field.

The Perks

  • Salary: $40K–$45K depending on experience
  • Bonus opportunities based on reaching company success goals
  • 16 days (128 hours) of Paid Time Off benefits (vacation, sick leave, personal day)
