Our team of marketers serves local, regional and national clients, from startups to established leading brands. We have the strategists, research capabilities, designers, writers and award-winning videographers to successfully deliver quantifiable outcomes to clients in numerous industries. The Media Planner/Buyer at ADsmith works closely with ADsmith’s VP of Media/Client Relations to analyze, negotiate, place, monitor, and post-analyze media schedules for our clients.

Working together as a team is crucial. The more we work together, the more eager we are to play together to build our team culture. Most important, the more we work and play together, the more we thrive together.

Do You Have the Experience?

Candidates should be:

  • Proficient in math.
  • Comfortable negotiating prices with sales reps.
  • Able to communicate with a variety of people via in-person meetings, phone calls and/or email correspondence.
  • Diplomatic; persuasive yet fair.
  • Organized and able to manage deadlines and campaign timeframes.
  • Able to manage budgets and expenditures, utilizing excel spreadsheets, media software, calculator functions, etc.
  • Eager to build long term relationships with team members, clients and vendors.
  • Interested in both traditional and digital media.
  • Analytical with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, demonstrating initiative to identify opportunities
  • Familiar with broadcast television networks and programs, streaming video platforms (culturally “plugged in”).


Prior experience as a media buyer with an advertising agency is a plus
!

We want to talk to you if you:

  • Have experience with Nielsen or Comscore ratings for broadcast media.
  • Know basic media-buying definitions and formulas.
  • Have analyzed, negotiated, and purchased advertising schedules on TV, radio, print, and billboards.
  • Have conducted a TV post-analysis.
  • Have worked with media software (Strata, SmartPlus, Advantage, Bionic, etc.).
 

Are You Right for ADsmith?

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in media buying.
  • Is interested in following advertising and media trends.
  • Has excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Is highly organized; pays attention to detail.
  • Is a critical thinker.
  • Has a BSc/BA in marketing, advertising, communications, accounting, math, or experience in a related field.
  • Has good time-management skills and great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Wants to grow in a true work family environment.
 

Is ADsmith Right for You?

This is a full-time salaried position with compensation commensurate with experience. The anticipated range is $45,000 to $65,000. Benefits include group health, dental, vision, IRA match, thirteen paid holidays, work-from-home option three days per week (after 60-90 day training period), mobile phone monthly reimbursement, professional development & training, and more.

ADsmith will assist with relocation expenses for the right candidate.
